Welcome to STEM Passport!
My
name is MaryEllen Crummet and I have a passion for traveling and STEM! I am
an elementary teacher and a Bridgewater State University graduate student
studying Elementary Education with a concentration in STEM. I remember when I was in elementary, I loved
when it was finally time for science because it meant I could ask tons of
questions and learn more about how things work. Since then I have continued my
love for STEM by traveling, studying and learning more about the world around me. I've been so blessed to have had the chance to
explore so many countries such as Australia, Belize, Greece, Switzerland,
Spain, France, Italy, Canada, Mexico, England, St. Kitts & Nevis and
hopefully many more! My travels have given me the opportunity to get a closer
look at some of the most beautiful places in the world and I want to share them
with YOU! I decided to create this blog to share my travel experiences and
present them in a way for students to explore and solve real world problems
from right here on my blog. Each week will feature a new destination and some
fun filled questions your students can solve. So, fasten your seat belts and hold on to your passports! We are about to take off to our first destination!
PS: I hope you enjoy sitting on an airplane because when we depart from Logan International Airport in Boston, MA it will take approximately 22 hours before we reach our final destination.
Enjoy your flight,
Ms. Crummet

What an awesome idea! I love how you incorporated both your passion for travelling and teaching. I also love how you are planning to make the blog a resource for students. What an awesome idea! I am looking forward to our journey!
